Floor Plans

The Röhsska Museum has approximately 20 galleries. Principally, permanent exhibitions are displayed, which contain objects from the museum collection. Each year the museum also displays temporary exhibitions with either artefacts from the collection or objects on loan. With this floor plan you can see what we display in the different galleries, both permanent and temporary exhibitions. By clicking on the different galleries on the map on each floor you can get an introduction to the exhibitions and see example of displayed artefacts. Further information on our current temporary exhibitions can be found here.

  • The Masreliez room is named after the artist and decorator Louis Masreliez (1748-1810), who was Gustav III’s architect. The mural was executed by Louis Masreliez in the late Gustavian (Pompeian) style. Masreliez had studied in Rome for a longer period, and seen and been inspired by the ongoing excavations of antiquity’s Pompei. The wallcovering is painted in oil on fabric.

In this room the permanent exhibition 18th Century Design and Craft is on display.
